Jordangbj, it's an AML on FX-56's very nice transitional (s/n?).

Did we ever figure out the highest s/n for the AML?

I have pics of these, but not sure if they're original:

    28,344,249 145.022 $5000 (looks like replacement dial)
    27,332,993 145.022
    27,324,XXX 145.022

    Others out there?

    Best,
    Adam

Looks applied to me. Also the dial has the long plots.

you're probably right and i'm totally wrong, but just zoom in on the first and last pics . it doesn't look the same as the applied logos on the other watches shown in this thread. it looks too flat and matte. like I said, it could just be the lighting.

and to add a bit more to this thread, here is my transitional on the right against my regular 69 speedie (first pic unrestored, second pic restored)
This 69 was owned by an adventurer who walked from North Australia to South Australia across the central desert country, hence it's condition after that long journey

Going to kick this ol' thread in the ass again. 265551XX is back to 1968 with some help from 265576XX (which might have been built within 10 days of 1XX but who knows with the different suppliers/scattered serial numbers, circa late November 1968?). Here's a candid iPhone pic of him hangin' with his homies. I just picked him up after work (graveyard shift at the data center) and half-way through this Crown & Coke I wanted to take a pic capturing his new look, that he hasn't had since the 1980s. (I also picked up a stepped dial with a painted logo because I'm not sure what this watch came with originally, I've seen other 26555XXXs with painted logos on stepped dials (that conceivably wouldn't have been installed during a service before 1971). My local watchmaker didn't believe me when I told him there were .861s with AMLs.
