    Omega Polaris (Multifunction)

I want to share a few pictures of an Omega I have in my collection. I do not wear it at all actually because my tastes aim for bigger, bulkier watches.

I just put in a new battery and i'm trying to use the functions and set the watch. I am trying to find an information on how to operate the functions. I guess it's hard to find any information on the watch. Help with any information on how to operate the watch would be greatly appreciated!

Your watch uses a calibre 1665 movement. You might contact After Sales Service and ask them if they would send you an owners manual. Setting the time and date is fairly straight forward but you also need to sync the analog and digital displays so it is a bit difficult to describe in just a few words.

    The basic guideline is
To select function - turn the crown
To change function - pull out the crown and then turn it
To start and stop functions - press the crown

It uses the Seamaster Pro 200 integrated bracelet. Interesting.

Nice watch. It has a Rado-esque styling flair.

Thumbs Up Re: Omega Polaris (Multifunction)

    Great watch, and very tough.
    I have a few.
It really cleans up nice with a very mild dishwashing scouring pad.
They look like people thought futuristic watches should look in the 1980's

Wow! What a nice collection you got there! I have re-done the bracelet with a scotchpad and took off most of the scrathes. Some deep ones are still visible though. I don't know how to do polish the case without taking off the crystal.

here are some more pics of it. Enjoy!

They were also ahead of their time in the market with the use of Titanium. From what I understand they were a bit of a failure, as Titanium did not have the cool factor is does today, so they were misunderstood being lightweight. From my understanding there were not many much of anything Titanium available then, and Omega seemed to be testing the water with these. Too bad, as I really like them, especially the ones that are Ti and Silver, no gold. :)

    Nice collections!

    Re: Omega Polaris (Multifunction)

I took a punt on a Polaris identical to the one in the pic above. All the functions seem to work- sort of. The winder doesnt always move from one function to the next, then annoyingly, it works as it should. Anyone out there know if this is repairable or knows someone that can repair these ??
    many thanks
