    Omega moving with the times..

The younger gen isn't interested in the history or significance of a brand.. they just want to feel like they are part of a cause.

In this case Omega is by supporting Orbins International (great initiative btw)

And mummy probably just got the hook up in Omega lol

If you squint really hard, begins to look like Mark Wahlberg and Ted. That I can get down with.

I don’t think anyone is reacting to the teddy bear—it’s more who’s holding it and how he’s holding it.

Everything was fine- a special edition watch, a good looking model, a worthy cause...then they added a huge teddy bear- completely unnecessary, distracting and totally confusing.

This is what “trying too hard” looks like.

    THE TEDDY BEAR

OMEGA understands that going to the hospital can be scary so we supply Orbis International with cuddly teddy bears for each of its young patients. They comfort the children and their families and help the surgeons explain the treatment to the patients. Following the treatment, the teddy bear will have a matching eye patch.

No sorry I disagree. I get Orbis and support the cause but Randy Gerber’s teen with a big ole cuddly bear plain old lame. Yep I’m too old I get it.

OMG people, google it!!! This teddy bear is a signature toy of Orbis - an international charity mobile hospital that gives this bear to every child patient. It's written on the Omega website:

It's creepy, I don't like the ad a bit. I like the watch. I like the charity.

I guess I understand what they are trying to communicate but the "creative" people behind the ad could have done a better job IMO.

    Re: Omega really?

I thought the photo was a little weird, but this doesn't really bother me at all compared to more Olympic or James Bond special editions.

Honestly I'd appreciate it if they did even more with Orbis.

    Plus I like the watch.
