Anyone have any suggestions where to get my first seamaster - new or gently used would be best. Not sure how to purchase on this site thru forums. Also, I'm a little concerned over ebay. Jomashop is ok? What does grey vendor mean (I think Jomashop is one). Thanks!!!
You can find great deals on new and used watches here on the forums. Reputation is key, make sure you check out the reputation and feedback forum before making any purchases from individuals. A great tool for finding watch deals on online forums is watchrecon com. Again, reputation is KEY. Make sure you ask for references from any buyer and check their reputation across different forums. If you are careful and thorough in your research you can find GREAT deals on any new or used watches. I've saved 30%-40% off retail on brand new, never-worn timepieces.
Jomashop is a grey market dealer. This means that they do not acquire their stock directly form the manufacturer and therefore do not offer the manufacturer warranty with the item. Many grey dealers, including Jomashop, offer their own warranty.
Generally Speaking, reputable grey market dealers are legitimate sellers and should not give you much trouble. These dealers purchase overstock from overseas AD's at steep discounts and then re-sell with their own warranty.
