Steel Bracelet for First Omega in Space Speedy

I'm all over the moon with the First Omega in Space Speedy. I love how it looks over the Professional, and the 40mm size is perfect for my puny wrist (6.3 inches).

The 19mm band width, however, is a bit concerning, plus I really hate that it doesn't come with a bracelet. That probably is the main factor holding me back.

Is there an official aftermarket Omega bracelet that would fit this Speedy?

    Thanks!

Nothing pisses me off more than watches with irregular lug widths. Well that's not true there are thousands of things that get on my nerves everyday but you get the picture. As for the question I don't really know, I just came to express my anger at the 19mm and 21mm lug widths of the world.

    Congratulations on a fantastic Speedmaster!

Right now I have mine on Omega 1125 bracelet with 617 end links - a perfect fit for the lugs and looks great, imho.

I have the Omega ref. 1125 on mine but rumor is that Omega has a new one in the works.

Love the vintage look of the 1125:

Hahaha I feel the anger. Sometimes I really wonder why they use irregular lug widths. There must be some logical reasoning, right?

Thanks for the premature congratulations haha! I haven't bought it as the leather strap option only is holding me back. I really would love to have it on a bracelet.

The 1125 bracelet looks stunning on it! Thank you!

By the way, may I know what end links are you using? 617 also? Thanks!

    I'm guessing its one of two things;

1, Golden Proportion? I think this is wishful thinking, 1mm surely would not make much of a difference. Maybe not though as 1mm across the case can make a huge difference.
2, A desire to ensure that as customers we're forced to purchase OEM straps. I have noticed that these irregular sizes are something of an Omega speciality.

I suspect the answer lies somewhere in-between. Regardless it gets right on my nerves!

Steel Bracelet for First Omega in Space Speedy

The 1964/975 or the 1565/976 (same as 1564/975 but with newer screw design on removable links rather than pins) Speedmaster bracelet bands from the Speedmaster racing series is a perfect fit; below are some images from someone which used the 1565/976 band on his FOIS:

I have a mint 1564/975 that was saving for a future FOIS but am happy with my Apollo 11 40th so guess would be willing to sell it. Pm me if interested.
