Rolling eyes Why to use stopped watch?

    This is freaky one...
I get a new job after 6 months of unemployment! Same company that fired me took me back to another position, so I didnt get very far...Hopefully this economical situation is getting better.

But anyway; I have a fellow worker, who is around 60 years old and on first day I noticed, that his watch has stopped. Next day when he came back his watch was still stopped. I know; I'm freak; I stare peoples wrist's what they are wearing. (Specially young ladies...)

This thing ate my like a rat. What the hell was going on with that fellow??? Why he kept on wearing stopped watch? Finally on fourth day I had to ask. I said that by the way; your watch is stopped. He just replied that yes it is, and he was going to get a new battery in a next few days. He said that he is so used to wear that watch, that its more like a habit, but obviously he didnt looked a time from it, because then he had noticed that its stopped. Aaarrrhggggh!

I think I need some help. This is not healthy any more.

Ah, but it's more accurate than your watch.

Well at least twice a day

Interesting for sure, but I'm more concerned about you seeing "young ladies" and staring at their... wrists(?)

Probably just to remind himself to get a new cell. Or just worried that he would forget about it altogether

Re: Why to use stopped watch?

A mate of mine at work just got himself his first auto a couple of months ago... I saw him the other day at around 2pm, and his watch was about 2 and a half days slow! He said he's just not used to wearing an auto but he can't bring himself to not wear it

I did the only decent thing... set the time and date properly

Whose got the problem... me or him?

I have a co-worker who I've noticed actually alternates between two quartz watches...one which is either broken or needs a new battery and one that does work but is never set to the right time. Guess it might be worth asking him about this habit, huh?

I think it's the watch that has a problem.

I can't figure out how it got 2 and 1/2 days behind. Lets say he forgot to change the date at the end of February (28) and April (30), that would leave the watch 4 days behind.

More proof that watches are more jewellery than tools for telling the time.
