Age of Citizen Watch

I recently bought my Titanium Ecozilla on the bay. The seller listed it as New, but after talking with him it should have been listed "Like New". The watch is in great shape, and I got a good deal on it, but I'm curious of the actual age of the watch. Can you find the age by a "code" in the serial number on the back of a Citizen watch?

I'm still a little shaky on serial numbers but I believe your watch was manufactured in September 2005.

so '59' (as the serial prefix) is 2005 Sept?

correct, but what decade that first number refers to depends on when the caliber used was introduced, how long was it in production and which model is using it.
