I'm being increasingly attracted to some of the offerings from Pulsar, both new and vintage, is there anything wrong with this? Are they not as good as Seiko?
No wrong here. You can have cravings in this addiction. I bought a Luch one hander recently and I own three Ball watches. You will probably be a pseicho forever though.
I don't have any pulsar, but I'm always looking at the pulsar range. I don't see anything wrong at all. They do some great watches, and you get Seiko quality.
Its like Tudor to Rolex. Pulsar to Seiko, basically the same quality, but priced for a different market.
No reason to worry about wrong or right in this case. If you like a watch, that's about it.
You consider it's value for money, the style, design and quality, and if it's all good for you, have fun and enjoy your watch.
Pulsar are great, I had a quartz chrono from them, brown chocolate dial, felt exactly like a seiko quartz chrono, used a seiko movement (vdx or something like that with a bunch of numbers), they're usually on the contemporary size 40mm-42 but for a chrono it's excusable. Unfortunately the stock strap much like many seiko leather straps was trash, felt like cardboard.
Pulsars are made by Seiko, so the quality certainly isn't going to get bad, although they aren't quite as nice as Seiko.
