Another vote for Borealis' inexpensive rubber strap for summer wear. The vents help keep perspiration from pooling up under the strap in high humidity situations. It's as good as the eqivalent Isofrane in comfort and quality at 1/5th the cost. The only thing missing is the vanilla scent.

    I'd say something that

    1) allow plenty of airflow and ventilation between the material and skin (minimal direct contact surface with the skin)
    2) won't soak up moisture and sweat leaving bad odour

So I guess fabric and leather would be out in the first round leaving only rubber and metal.
Basically any perforated rubber straps like Isofrane or Tropic straps. If you want metal than i think shark mesh with bigger interlock links (better airflow) as opposed to Milanese would be a good choice....

    Here's where I got mine:
Eulit Palma Woven Nylon / Perlon Black One-Piece

I don't have any pics on hand, but if you do a Google Image Search for "Eulit perlon Seiko" you will see a ton of pictures with different types of watches. I really like how there isn't a bulky extra piece that needs to be tucked back in compared to a NATO.

Sony, order the strap fast - the man from the Met Office has forecast rain for this evening (Monday). TBH it doesn't bother me what sort of strap/bracelet is on my watch if the sun shines but I find Natos to be pretty good for all seasons - warm in winter and cool in summer.

I'll put a plug in for toxic NATO's right now

They have the Toxic vent on sale for $20. This is essentially a rebranded bonetto cinturini strap.

Did they also have their toxic Magnum strap that they had made for themselves specifically at $30.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet but it's supposed to be lacking the sticky feel that isofrane has.

But Terry is a great guy and it's also a veteran-owned business.

Anybody asked for perlon pictures? My SNE437 with a "cheap" perlon (the green one) and an Eulit Palma (black).

Like many above, I tend to use rubber in the summer because they don't absorb sweat. SS is also good for the same reason, but IMHO they can be hotter, and their fit may vary from afternoon to evening as your wrist may swell and contract. On rubber, just loosen or tighten. I always keep SS on my Damasko just because the bracelet is a bit hard to take off, and I know I can always put that watch on and it will fit under a cuff if needed.

I use Bonetto Cinturini for my Seiko (284 on my Turtle) and Squale (306 on my 1521, which is the same strap used by Marathon on the GSAR).

Thanks for all your suggestions. I have just order a Eulit Palma Pacific 2 piece (and a spring bar tool which I have never used!)

I also suggest a quality Perlon strap. Also, I have a few of my Seiko's on Uncle Seiko waffle and tire tread rubber straps and I am very happy with Larry's products. Also, my current temp is 111 so does not get much worse than that and I am comfortably wearing a 6105-8119 on a rubber strap.

Nice choice of strap Sony. They'll look great together.
