So if your one day gives a 2 day charge, then for a full charge you need to wear it only 3 months!

Yes. I have owned two Arctura Kinetic chronographs, with the 7L22 movement, for more than 10 years. The one on a bracelet has been my weekday watch and the other, on a rubber strap, has been my weekend and travel watch -- I usually wear that one two days per week. Both have kept good time with no problems keeping them charged. These watches do not have power reserve indicators, so I never know what % of maximum charge they are.

However, now that I have acquired an Alpinist and have my eye on some other watches, I have ordered a Seiko kinetic charger, cost be damned.

There are several threads discussing this. Arctura Kinetic battery lifespan?
I believe the Li-on battery that Seiko now uses in it's Kinetics behave best if kept constantly close to full charge. Hence my opinion that you should do a full charge at least once, and then regular exercise or jogs during the week should keep it topped up. Incidentally my exercise routine has dramatically changed since I got my SUN043. Wheres earlier Mrs filcord had to harass me to go to the walking track, these days I do it on my own. Who needs a fitbit eh?

My only Kinetic SBCZ015, I just shake it 100 times a couple times a day when not wearing it. She never gets below 20 secs.

I wear mine everyday except on the weekends because i'm so scared that the battery will run down. I couldn't get mine to charge of a toothbrush either. They are great watches, but to be honest the Kinetic movement annoys me somewhat. I feel solar is better.

Philips imageo worked for mine, but honestly at this point I'm just gonna keep the one pretty sun043 and get rid of any other kinetics. What a pain in the ass.. I'd be much happier changing a battery every five years instead of worrying about killing a more expensive cell every few months if I don't wear it.

Keep trying. If the battery is flat, it may take a couple of days or more. If it still does not move, try it with the crystal up, and 9 o clock towards the outer edge (i.e, not facing the wire). I tried it that way for almost a week before I hit on the crystal down position. I still need to confirm beyond doubt that face down position is what works. BTW, watch getting warm is a sign it's charging
