    Citizen BY0000-05e

I'm new to this site, but have been reading the forums here for a while. I'd been looking at the Citizen BY0000-05e for a while and asking for it as a present for a few years, but never received it. I think I waited too long to just buy it for myself because it doesn't look like it's available nearly anywhere. Citizen updated their lines and now the closest thing to it seems to be the AT4000-02e, which isn't nearly as nice looking.

Basically I wanted atomic time, perpetual calendar, and solar with an analog face and leather band that look nice together and semi-dressy but not out of place with jeans.

Since it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to find a BY0000-05e anywhere, do you folks have suggestions for something similar?

I bought what I think is the blue version of BY0000-05e at Costco a year ago. I think it looks great. I saw the same watch a few days ago in the same Costco. If you like it in blue you might want to check it out. I don't have a pic of mine to upload, so here's a link to a pic.
    Good luck,

Hey nice. I do like that one a lot, but would probably change out the metal band for a leather one if I got it. Will check my local Costco. When I last looked in the watch case there I didn't see the BY0000-05e and just passed on by.

One of the local mall jewelry stores which sells Citizen watches had said a few months ago that they could get it for me for full MSRP plus $50, but I didn't bite on that one.

The blue dial with stainless steel band is the BY0000-59L . My local Costco in Albuquerque, NM has it for $349.95

Great! I'd looked there before but had only seen Skyhawk Blue Angel type models. I just went and saw the BY0000-56L (I think you got the number slightly wrong) and bought it for that price! Very happy you saw that. Been looking for this watch for a couple of years.

    Thanks.

I have the BY0010-52L, blue face, titanium case and bracelet, sapphire crystal. It's awesome.
There's still some about from asian sources, also the 52E with black and white face, but you'll pay about $650 because of the titanium and sapphire factor. Worth it though.

BY0000-05E is discontinued, you may try to find it in local AD for the last one. Hope you get it at last.
