    Difference Between SKX007 and SKX173

I'm looking to get a Seiko diver. On Amazon the 007 is almost $50 cheaper than the 173; what is the difference between the two? They look identical.

Re: Difference Between SKX007 and SKX173

The SKX173 has squared chapter markers, while the SKX007 has rounded ones. The hands are also different, especially the second hand, which on the 007 has the "dot" on its tail end (and visa versa on the 173). I think the movements and cases are the same. As I understand it, one is more heavily marketed in the US than the other, hence the price difference.

But I'll let the real experts chime in.
