Domed Sapphire on SKX007

I have an SKX007 with its factory bezel and bezel insert. I want to install domed sapphire crystal, would the domed sapphire crystal look ok on the factory bezel?

Seeing as the bezel is flat and the domed crystal, is uh domed, would it look weird? Do I need to search for a curved bezel and bezel insert to balance the curviness?

Does anybody have pictures of their skx007 on domed crystal?

Just ordered a domed sapphire from yobokies. The stock bezel and insert should work fine as according to Harold the crystal is the same thickness at the edge but domes in the middle. Not sure about Jake's sapphire but he doesn't have the super domes in stock presently.

I installed the yobokies crystal yesterday. It does not extend above the bezel. Also you'll notice that it curves in towards the center away from the bezel and It is only very slightly domed.

That is good to know. Do you notice much of a gap between the bezel and the domed crystal? Most pictures of 007s with domed crystal installed appear to have a large gap. Is this just the photo playing tricks?

There is a large gap. Whether you'll like it or not depends on personal preferences. That inward curve also creates an optical difference versus a crystal that would extend out to the bezel. At some angles you can also see the hour/minute markers in the curve so it's like seeing double. It doesn't bother me but I've seen some other threads where people complain.

I have been reading that there is some sort of superdome bezel for the skx007 that would not have such a gap between the bezel and the domed crystal, is this correct? Wonder where these can be purchased.

You'll need both the super dome crystal and bezel insert. Only Jake from 10watches.com sells them. Not sure if he has any left for sale. You should email him.

10watches is out of stock until maybe this fall. I am ordering mine from yobokies tomorrow on a SKX009 with 007 bezel. I could not find a flat sapphire for the 007/009's.

This is a Jake B 'super dome' sapphire and bezel insert. Virtually no gap. I bought it February last year, and I believe shortly afterward they were no longer available.
