As many of you know the Seiko 6139 was the first automatic chronograph to achieve serial production and this particular dial, bezel, inner bezel, and bracelet variation was worn by Colonel Pogue during the NASA Mission, and was the first automatic chronograph in space. This one will be worn once in a blue moon, stored in a safe, and given to my son when he is old enough to appreciate the significance of such a great timepiece.

I got left this watch by my late father a few years ago it needs a new bracelet along with a missing bezel crown, would live for this to be renovated as have always loved this watch, any ideas anyone where the best place to get renovated?

Thanks everyone! My son agrees with you guys. He says, "wear it". Based on all of the comments, I will put this one in my regular rotation.

Not to crash the thread....BUT....I got me a Pogue for a Father's Day gift, too!

Blue "resist" dial, early 1971 model, one piece second hand....no franken work done to it.

    Gold dial Pogue is next!

Glad to hear it's going to get regular wrist time! Way to go son! Just make sure Dad stays out of the pool and especially the ocean with it on.

Here's mine also an early model July, 1971 with a "Resist" blue dial. The inner bezel is sufferring from the dreaded fade....oh well.

I made the purchase based on overall condition, complete with all the right parts, one piece second hand, non-molded lume suggesting no water intrusion, no franken work done to it and of course that it's in excellent running condition. I plan on getting a golden dial Pogue very soon and couple of 6139 A& B spare parts movements for future parts needs.
