I'm looking for a "low price" Citizen or Seiko TITANIUM dive watch

    Hello,

I'm lusting for something in titanium, and would like to keep the price around $300 or so. I'm open to buying new or used.

I figure a Seiko or Citizen would fit the bill.

I know about the Citizen NY0054 titanium automatic.....

is there anything else in quartz or auto, in titanium from either company in a dive watch?

I'm open to rubber or metal strap, but would like something that I can fit aftermarket straps on (I don't want a proprietary lug system).

I would prefer sapphire, but mineral will work as well. If there are aftermarket sapphire crystals available....that's even better.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    James

Hey James, here are a few to consider, I've tried to include links. As you can see, some of them are a bit over $300 when new:

    Seiko SBCZ005
    Rakuten - Diver 200m Watch - Seiko SEIKO DIVER SCUBA DIVER - PROSPEX dark gray titanium kinetic SBCZ005 delivery charge - free! Guaranteed peace of mind] [regular] [smtb-m;

    Citizen BN0065
Citizen EcoDrive Promaster Carbon Titanium 300m Watch BN0065-50E

    Citizen JV0050
Citizen Eco-Drive Titanium Diver Watch JV0050-03E [JV0050-03E] - US$450.00 : Low Price Genuine Watches. Casio, Citizen, Hamilton, DKNY, Emporio Armani, SuperChrono

    Citizen BN0015
Citizen Diver Eco Drive Titanium BN0015-07E BN0015 Promaster Aqualand

    Seiko SBCB007
SEIKO PROSPEX Solor Titanium Diver Men's watch SBCB007 on eBay.ca (item 350368006370 end time 11-Feb-11 02:08:34 EST)

    Citizen BJ8401
Citizen Diver Eco Drive Promaster Titanium EcoZilla BJ8041-09E

My personal favourites are the JV0050 and the BJ8401. The former is great for actual diving and the latter is especially robust. Some of these Citizens will need adapters if you want to use aftermarket straps, though. Best of luck and let us know of your decision.

    PS: Nice location!

    Hey Statick,

Thanks very much for taking the time to put together that list. The first Seiko with the charcoal grey dial looks interesting. I'll poke around those links and see if anything suits my needs.

It's supposed to be 9* in a few days......we need to thaw out after the deep freeze a few weeks ago. :)
