And here's another darth tuna morphed into a Dolhpin tuna SBBN019- i prefer to call it 'Oreo tuna' ;P - via modding dolphin kit, to make pair with Shannon's awesome one....

This one was built this week and it's fresh from my watchmakers bench. It has white shroud, lumed bezel, new set of PVD hex screws and special strap....

Your killing me! That is one great group of Tunas! Do you recommend the 24mm Isofrane or the 22mm? Not sure I have the heart to notch an isofrane. I have one in 24 that I use on my Breitling every now and then but have been looking for the perfect strap for the 600m. I hate how the shroud covers the lugs and makes the watch sit up higher on the wrist. Does the isofrane help keep the 1000M closer to the wrist than its original strap?

    Hi Ren,

I'm wearing the Emperor as I type this

IMO the 24mm Isofrane is "THE STRAP" for Tunas Just use a brand new straight razor blade and slice 1mm off each side. Also make sure you don't go to far past the spring bar holes....1mm should be perfect. The fat spring bars are a tight fit, I use a little spit to help slide them in

Yes!!! It keeps the Beast closer to the wrist.......trust me....you'll love it

    Cheers

Otto - You need a Tuna! Be the Tuna! Here's my Darth on an Isofrane. As Shannon shared, the Iso is a great choice for this and all the Tuna models. I have also tried a Nato strap and that works well for me, too.

I also found this handy chart that helped me with my decision. Hope this helps! FYI, my wrist is 7-7.25". Tuna, Tuna, Tuna....

I was afraid you would say that. Hmmm, not too comfortable with the razor. My luck I would cut too much or too far. I have notched a strap or two before with my Dremel and it came out great so if I have enough guts I will try it out. Yikes! Thanks for the advice.

The Tunas are terrific watches. Personally my favorite is the 7549 tuna. I prefer this version compared to the more current SBBN017. They look similar but the big difference is in the shroud and bezel. The older vintage version has a shroud that sits lower than the bezel. The 017 has a shroud that rises above the bezel. The older 7549 has a really nice knurled bezel compared to the newer 017 which has fewer slots to grip on the bezel. Here are some comparison pics between the sbbn017 that I flipped and the 7549 that I currently own. The shroud and bezel on the 7549 are much closer to the shape and feel of the bezel and shroud of the Darth.

Mario, you're too kind as always, my friend!

You know, just as yourself, Shannon, Badern (where has he been, BTW?), Luka-san, Petew and a few other die-hard tuna fans, I'm completely crazy over these watches!

And when I say 'crazy', I mean this:

Do you guys think I need treatment? :P hehehehehe....
