    miyota 8215 movement back-hacking...

Should a Miyota 8215 second hand 'hack' when setting time backwards? I just got a second hand Sea Shark with that movement, and I thought that Miyota's didn't hack.

i guess, from my reading, I thought they didn't hack at all, back or forwards. I know you can do it on a 7s26, but I never paid attention to any of my miyota's.

I back hack all 6 of the Miyota 8215 watches I have as I like to set them to within 1 second of the USNO clock. The Miyota movements can only be hacked when the power reserve is low...so your Miyota will not hack if you have a nice amount energy built up in the movement.
