The new SKA511 kinetic - quick review

    The good:
SKA511 - the quality is excellent for both case finish and the bracelet is far superior to the other Seikos. Comes with dive clasp from the 300MM. Solid end links 20mm width. After closer inspection and comparrison I think it is the actual full bracelet.
It is tight with no rattles. A mix of brushed and polished sections. Very taseful.
The red hour hand has really grown on me and reminds me of my Sinn U1 color scheme.
    It has a Saphire crystal.
It also a true 44mm without the crown.
It is keeping spot on time as well.
Yes it is a heavy watch quite solid, a full 7 oz on the postage scale.
For the price is is unbelievable value for the money and looks great too.

    The bad:
Mine has one minor flaw the action is offset about .5mm to the left of the case opening.
You only notice it if you realy stare at it.

I think this one needs a nick name. What do we call it?
I will post more and better pictures once I get a chance.

I think people are calling that one the 'Lightsaber'?

Though this nickname stuff... I think people tend look for nicknames now instead of having time decide one for them. A nickname should come about naturally after months of observation. Not a committee sitting and deciding...

Nice. Especially the red min. hand. Not as "tooly" as the BFK.

A watch has a singular purpose and that is to display the time it is keeping track of.

This is beautiful watch. I was looking at it few weeks ago, but my wife forbid me to buy any more watches :(

As a side note, i thought Sportura line is for motorsports. Why diver then?
