A $1300 Seiko diver and look how far the dial and chapter ring are misaligned!!!
Look at :27, it is really obvious.

You not only buy a watch, but the company behind it.
That's pretty bad. Seiko either deems this acceptable, or they only inspect so many per batch and these are missed. I remember folks complaining about 6R15-00G0 ("Sumo") with misaligned rehauts.
The cynic in me wonders if this is a result of offshoring assembly to places that have a reputation for shoddy work.
Best wishes,
Myles
Wow, that is pretty bad!
Ouch. Would hate to be the one on the receiving end of this watch, wonder if this would be grounds for a return ?
I have watch OCD (I'm recovering) and this would annoy me to no end.

Good catch man!!! I've seen a few videos of watchtanaka, but never paid attention that much.
Misalignment on SBDC007 is not due to improper assembly at SII facility. This is somewhat due to case ring design. If case clamp and ring has gap and case ring has no enough friction to case wall, you will see this kind of misalignment when you pull stem in someway.
Most of watch problems are design features.
Yes, I see the misalignment; but WatchTanaka makes it look soooo good!![]()
So what a BIG deal?
See it to believe..this is Seiko quality nowadays!
