    Our common Seiko diary

The thought behind this thread is that we all have menial thoughts and observations that don't warrant the making of a new thread. This is the collection of all those things.

    Such as mine today:

Hm, while resting most of the day face up while I'm at work, my SKX has started to gain as opposed to before when it'd always be a couple seconds slow every day.. I'm so happy for it +_+

Since neglecting to bid on a vintage birth-year Seiko recently, I have feverishly started looking for another.

    1. I wish my Turtle was as accurate as my old Giugiaro, or even the Pulsar but I'm glad it runs slow because I only set once a week, if that. If it were fast, I'd have to set it slow and I might miss the bus.
    2. Damn, I love my watch.
    3. Stupid watch.

Hardlex crystal sucks. Sure, it's fine for a $250 seiko, but the Marinemasters...cmon. I've already put 2 hairlines on my tuna that is 2 weeks old. I haven't even began to abuse this watch yet, and honestly can't even recall hitting the crystal. This is not the first hardlex that I have scratched within the first few weeks of a new seiko. Cmon...is all I gotta say.

I love the Seiko rubber strap, it's bad ass, comfy and keeps my 009 well balanced.

You mean the plastic ones that come stock?

Yes. And I know it's just plastic. But then a Hirsch strap is just animal hide and a mesh just metal rings. I just like the disposable do it all feel to it. For 19 USD I get a new one when I have been a bad boy.

I was just giving you a hard time because they call it a "rubber" strap. That is one of the many good thing about these watches. Cheap parts to keep them going strong
