    SBBN007 Tuna Karma Story

A little over three years ago I bought a modded SBNN007 from someone on WUS. It was a really cool Tuna IMO cuz it had a PVD'd shroud and a black bezel insert.

The whole combo was unlike anything in my collection, and I loved it. I had to leave the island the third weekend of July 09 to go perform a wedding of my best friend's son, just south of Boston. Once in America I rented a car, drove up, did the wedding and was wearing the special Tuna in the rental car. A few days later, I got back to the island and never really saw the Tuna ever again. I called the rental car company and told them I'd somehow left a watch in that PT Cruiser and could they go look again. And again. They insisted it was not there.

I was furious with myself, and crushed and depressed about it. First watch I ever lost. And I hadn't even had it three months.

Fast forward to today August 6, 2012. The young couple i married 3+ years ago are expecting their first child. The kid is now a week late. I decide today is the day I'm gonna wash the cushion covers on the sofa. I'm lifting each cushion and peeling off the covers and I get to the last cushion and POW! There is The 007.

You are friggin' kidding me! ???!!!!!!!!!! I've been sitting on it for three years?

But wait, it gets even better------

Within 5 -10 minutes of finding it my best friend, the grandmother, txts me and let's me know the little man's name and weight. Her daughter in law went into labor early this morning. He's already a +10 pounder!!! His code name ( for me ) will always be 007 .... Or Big Kahuna Black Tuna!!

I think this Tuna gets saved for him or his Dad.

I'm sorry I cannot remember the WuS member who sold me this watch, but maybe you will read this, and take some joy in the story. Can't make this stuff up. I'm humming "Reunited...and it feels so good" right now 

    That's an amazing story!

I love Seiko's Tuna can watches and your story just warmed my heart. To think that it's been ticking right inside your sofa for so long . . .
But it's even more crazy that you found the watch around the same time the couple you married are expecting their first child. Life's full of little miracles.

Goes to show that you never know what you might find underneath the sofa cushions. I've found lots of stuff I had thought long gone there . . .

Wear that piece in good health and I also think your "Big Kahuna" Tuna would make a great gift for the lucky kid.

You should check my sofa, my friend. Lots of interesting stuff I can say you will find

It is, indeed, a very nice and sweet story. But you must feel lucky Liz, you see, your Tuna looks 3 years younger

    Very Best Regards . . .

I thought you were going to say the time is exactly correct on the tuna even after three years. Good story.
