    Question Seiko 5 women?

Hello again, fellow forumists and watch entusiasts!

Just two days ago i bought myself a Seiko 5 and i'm just ecstatic about it after heating my mind with articles over the web, opinions and so on. I checked it's accuracy a few moments ago on a 24 hours period and it gained about 10 secs, which is fairly good for the begining. I ain't gonna fiddle with it for about a month, though, because it is said that the accuracy varies with use and the watch has to get a bit worn in order to get a clear view on how accurate is.

Anyway, my problem is another. I am thinking of buying a birthday gift for a oman, and i thought about a Seiko 5 Women model. But i found nowhere a review, and i know nothing about it except for a comment on Amazon that said it doesn't wound very well due to the small rotor and the power reserve doesn't last, also due to small size of the spring. Is anyone here that has experience with such a watch? Is the calibre any good? Because the looks are just good to do justice to that 5 emblem.

Lots of Seiko 5's out there that are suited for both genders. IMO.

Trends today are women and men wear larger watches now.
All my female friends wear mens watches all the time.

Look for some nice whited dial Seiko 5's. Perfect on a womans wrist IMO.

    Re: Seiko 5 women?

My wife has a current production women's seiko 5. She has never complained about low power reserve or lack of winding from the rotor. If this where a problem, it would be easily solved as the current movement used in these womens 5's also included hand winding capability.

a women design would look nicer, though you are right in this area, since the simple, minimal seiko 5 is small anyway. but i am also curious about the ladies version of this model beyond my intention to buy it.

hand winding is definitely a plus! what about the accuracy? is it below 30 secs? it seems to be something like a psychological value :P
