    Seiko Automatik 1950s/60s

    Hello,

I am searching for a special, very big and heavy Seiko Automatic from the 1950s or early 1960s.
My father had one and thatīs how I fell in love with this watch, though I have never seen it anywhere else.
He bought it in the early 60s in Australia and itīs, in size, almost bigger than the Breitling Emergency.

Maybe someone remebers this watch or has images of the Seiko watches from this time?

    Thanx,

    Robert

Seiko's from the 50's and early 60's were generally small. Big cases started showing up toward the end of the decade and throughout the 70's. Are you positive as to the time frame?

Can you describe the watch in detail or give of a picture of your dad wearing it? There is just not enough information in your original post to be able to help you.

Did it look either of the two on the right?

you can always look through the watch database here:

    http://www.ittc.ku.edu/~jgauch/watch/index.html

perhaps something will jump out at you.

You can also try the diver's reference and it's gallery here:

My prior comments still stand though.
