    Which Seiko Blue Lagoon model?

I am considering picking up one of the Blue Lagoon models and can't decide between the Samurai and the Turtle. I am leaning towards a Sammy because I have PADI and SRP789 (Coke) Turtles inbound at the moment. Really like the angular case on the Samurai. Thoughts?

Definitely the Samurai. I couldn't justify buying paying an extra $200 over a normal turtle or $150 over a PADI special edition just because this is a limited edition color. OTOH, the Samurai is something unique, it's the only Samurai available on the new market right now.

Samurai for sure. If you've already got a couple of Turtles incoming then what's the point of getting another one and just buying the same watch over and over again?

If you already have a PADI turtle then I'd skip the Blue Lagoon Turtle (SRPB11) and go for the Samurai (SRPB09) instead. I would think the SPRB11 would be too similar in colour to the PADI turtle.

What you guys are suggesting makes a lot of sense. I just wish the Sammy had the original handset, but those could be swapped out (with maybe sapphire installed at the same time). Other colour options apparently on the way as well.

Whichever you choose, there aren't a ton of places to buy them so you should probably jump on one of the few that are left. Not sure if there will be more supply coming in June. Just got my Samurai from one of the few online dealers left with any stock. Very excited to add to my small but all too rapidly growing collection of Seiko's. I wasn't sure I would wear it much or just keep it for the collection, but I absolutely love the retro blue thing. It's just a fun watch to wear and it's stealing time from my new MM300.

Re: Which Seiko Blue Lagoon model?

My Samurai just arrived today. In person, it looks as good as the photos. I was concerned about it having a 43 mm case, but it really doesn't wear too large on my 6.75" wrist, either. I, too, was attracted to the sharp angles in the stock photos. And also the bezel edge. The blue dial is very rich looking in how light reflects off it.

By the way, I hope I'm not out of line with forum rules for mentioning this...but for those having a hard time finding them, I got mine via Amazon (with Seiko warranty, not Asurion). And at present, there are 8 different Amazon vendors selling them at under MSRP, including one with Amazon Prime 2-day shipping. Half of the listings indicate they are ADs with manufacturer's warranty.
