    Seiko limited edition questions

    Hey all, hoping for a little insight on limited edition Seiko's.
    first as a case in point, the SRP234 is stated as a LE of 1300 units. But, there were threads started here at WUS back in Jan. and I searched today and there are still many stores that have them for sale. So is there really just 1300 or what's the deal?

    How do you know when Seiko is going to release a limited edition watch?

    What criteria do you use to determine if it's going to be something special and worth having, or just another watch with words on it's dial.

    For myself I've questioned also if there so limited why do so many online stores have them? My thought is..... I think it's not quite a Monster which is a watch that has a very big following, and it's no way ever going to be a Tuna no matter what they want to call it. And the last thing is it seems a lot of WIS people don't really want "Limited Edition" printed on the dial of there watch, most of the time IMHO it just makes them look cheap.
    Current watches: Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk Atomic JY0000-53E. Being built: Custom vintage style watch with 15 Jewel Cortebert 616 Swiss movement and custom dial.
    Watches now sold or traded: Seiko Marinemaster SBDX001 traded ;-( but know I will buy one again, Seiko Alpinist SARB061, 2 Lum-Tec Combat B-1's, 2 Omega Seamasters, Omega Speedmaster, Anonimo Millemetri, Anonimo Militare, Hamilton Officers Chrono, Citizen Skyhawk, Rolex Day Date, Tudor Prince, Steinhart Ocean One, Seiko Mil Sub Mod, Seiko FFF Mod, Seiko Sumo, Seiko Spring Drive, Sinn Hydro Prototype, Bell & Ross Bomb Squad, BaliHa'i CaliHa'i, Luminox Black Ops and many more over the years I just can't remember.

    i have the srp234j. I now only see k's for sale. Is there 1300 j's and 1300 k's, or 1300 combined?
