Seiko Lord Matic 23 Jewel year '75s

I recently purchased a Seiko Lord Matic cal. 5606 from year 1975
    Running smoothly
Accuracy , I can t believe it, the best compared to my other much more expensive watch (been running +1 to +5 sec a day)
    Quite nice condition
I love the bracelets that can be easily adjusted

    Seiko on the wood

    Behind the scene

The adjustable bracelet, very bling bling, thin and comfort

    Wrist shot

    Happy with this one

Anyone want to share other type of Lord Matic??
    I like to see more

I think its so dressy and retro

    :bouncy:
    Happy Watch Time everyone:thanks

That one is a 6106-5419. It is actually different from yours in that this one has a blue dial. Out of all these 6106's this one also has an early A variant of the 6106 movement with fewer jewels. In essence this blue variant was the entry level model of the line. The others are a bit higher end. The most obvious difference between them are the hands, which are finer on the other 4.

Originally they were offered with the mesh bracelet on all of them (The gold one came with the mesh as well as the oyster you see). I'm not a huge fan of this mesh bracelet so I changed it in some of mine for the padded leather straps you see. Part of the reason they look as they do is because I refinished the cases and replaced all the crystals with NOS ones (I got lucky and bought the last 6 Borel had in stock).

Here is a catalog picture of the blue and the gold one if you'd like to see them:

I just won a little 5606 Lord Matic off of flea bay. It was a bit of alottery asthe seller's piss wouldn't show up on my PC!!! My fiance just emailed me one of the pics from the ad, and it looks surprisingly nice (next time I will ask for the pic before I bid)

The 5606 seems like decent movement - it hacks and handwinds, and has quickset day and date. These don't seem to get any love around here - is that because of the stupid plastic day wheel piece that is notorious for breaking? The ad says this watch quicksets, so we shall see. Or is it because of the small size? Or maybe the slightly dorky name???

Anyway, here's my latest addition (sellers pic). Comes with a Chinese day wheel, which is pretty cool!

Jason_recliner: Ha ha! I'd bidded on that early on, and then dropped out of the running when it crept up to around $50, as it wasn't enitrely what I'm looking for. I was following it through, to see what it went for - and now I know who it went to.

Please post a brief review and pictures when it arrives. And wear it in good health, of course!

I have the need for a white-faced dressy vintage Seiko.

I know I'm being a bad influence, but the same seller has just posted a no-date Lord Marvel, with arabic numerals, from 1970 (which happens to be my birth year). . . I just bid on that, tho' I'm really looking for a King Seiko.

I noticed that one, and a few others he's got. Interesting range. He seems to be fairly open about flaws and non-original parts, so I'm hoping this 5606 is a good one.

While looking at another pic from the seller, I just noticed that the 5606 comes with a monococque case. Why did they do that?

    For water resistance?

    Just to be different?
