    Seiko NH35 movement question

Hello all, I have a quick question about the NH35 movement. I have a deep blue daynight t100 with this movement. I have been having some issues with seems to be the automatic winding not working properly. I have been trying to look up info to see if there have been some issues with this. My question is when I search for that movement I search Seiko NH35. It comes up with NH35A. Is this the same? Does the A stand for automatic? Thanks.

    Seiko NH35 movement question

Its the same movement. These are what seiko sells to other watch companies that use their movement. Its the same as 4r35/36. 35 or 36 stand for day wheel or not. I have not heard of any issues with these movements. A or B could be newer versions of same movement. Hope this helps. Im sure someone will nitpick my post.

Why do you think the automatic winding is not working?

It's the NH35 bit that counts as the A and B just indicate the version of the movement.

    Re: Seiko NH35 movement question

I have other automatic watches and I can shake/wind them, set them, wear them all day and once I go to bed. I take the watch off, set it on a shelf. I wake up the next morning and they are still ticking. My DB I will wind it about 8-10 full turns, set it, wear it all day, place it on the book shelf and within a few hours it will stop running. I can shake the watch and it will start to tick again. I can fully wind the watch to where I get some decent resistance and It will tick for two days. But If I wear it it doesnt seem to wind properly.

There is an issue where the rotor is put on, can't remember, either 90 or 180 degrees from the correct alignment with the magic lever and it decreases winding efficiency. You could try searching seiko rotor alignment. If I recall just removing the back for a quick inspection could determine if it's properly aligned.
