Is this seiko real? Looks good

    Hey all,

First time poster long time forum creeper. I need some help identifying this seiko. I ran across it for 10$ at a flea market and it just stood out to me but cant seem to find any information online hopefully someone cant shed some light on this one for me. I feel this is just a made up knockoff but we'll see. I replaced the bracelet with a nato until my leather straps come in. I would appreciate any replies thanks

Almost everything you need to find out about a particular Seiko model is provided on the watch itself. The code on the caseback, 7S36-5000, is the movement and case reference, which can normally be used as a starting point. This came up on watchsleuth.

Just ran into the same issue with a 7006-7099. Unfortunately the less "trendy" Seiko models do not seem to have a ton of info via the imterweb.

Does it run? Looks like not a bad buy for $10.

The dial print looks good, most of the fakes look like fakes.

There was a "Seiko 5 Superior" line? I had no idea.

Seiko 5 Superior is in line with it having the 7S36 movement and the general design I'm seeing. Looks good to me. Haven't searched for the exact model, but being a bit hard to find is not surprising.
