Seiko SDGA003 - Is there a serious reason why I shouldn't buy one?

I have developed an itch for a Seiko SDGA003, the one with the EPD active matrix display

Through the forum search I have not found any particular comment from owners apart from an inclination that this watch has to move to power saving mode as soon as the ambient light dims a bit.

I know that like most products meant for the Japanese market this model is quite expensive, probably unreasonably so but as all of us know when you like a watch you tend to overlook this fact. So apart from the price can anybody of you advise against my buying it because of some bugs, hidden problems, malfunctions?

    Thanks.

I have the version with brushed steel. There were no malfunctions with mine. One thing that I don't necessary like is that there are micro adjustments to the bracelet. Post pics when you buy yours.

Edit: make sure that it's JDM. I bought mine in EU
