    Seiko SUS (SGZ023J1) pics!

Just acquired this very unusual Seiko and thought I'd share some pics. If anybody has one of these or knows anything about them please post in here as there doesn't seem to be much info on the web. Thanks.

Well, I had the black dial with red accents. There were other dial colors too...white dial, red dial and black dial models. Seiko brought out the SUS line in 1992 to 2000 at a time when the youth of the day had been weaned on digital time. The engineers wanted to bring back the analogue watch for them. All were midsized. The handset is peculiar to the SUS line and the date was always at the 4 position.

The most famous SUS was the mil style with the rare 4S15 caliber, which came in either black or grey colored dial. There was the GMT version with the 4S12 caliber too coming in three colors of red, black and blue dials. They had a diveresque model, which was perpetual and the only one with a rotating bezel and a single lume pip at 12.

Yours was special using the 6M13?...I forget...
The engineering philosophy was that the eye should first see the hands, then the dial and lastly the bezel. Hence all bezels were plain and non-distracting. I used to own about 6 of them. The SUS came in various movements, mostly quartz except for the 4Sxx models.

    Thanks for the info!

Yes this one carries the 6M26 movement. I'm struggling to work out all of the features as there was no instruction manual with it.

I guess I just liked how unusual it looked...

Thanks for the input. I like that one... The seller had pictures of that one, the red one and a white one. I wanted the black one like yours but he only had a red one left so I went for it...

Congrats to those who owns this. This has some resemblance to the famous 3,6,9 explorer dial. I saw the You tube featuring this watch n I was totally blown away by e features. If anyone knows someone who might ve a BNiB for sale, pls pm me. Once again, wear this babies in gd health !
