I agree the Transocean is held back because of the movement and its being compared to the Sumo. In my opinion Seiko would have been better served to use the 8L35 like the MM300, even at a higher price point.

Putting a 8L35 will just shoot the price through the roof and with integrated bracelet design it still will not be a best seller in my opinion. Most Seiko fans' gateway piece into higher end movements would be the classic MM300

I don't even care if it has a 8L35 movement tbh. I just want something other than the 6R15 that can be found in ~$300 watches. Honestly just throw in an 6R20 movement with 28k beat rate and I'm happy.

IMO it looks great! Would consider one if they release a smaller version (Don't think they will though)

Btw. how is the bracelet in terms of comfort?

The bracelet is awesome but they completely dropped the ball by not releasing a rubber strap with it.

I love mine but can only wear it certain times because of the proprietary lugs. I love my natos and rubber straps so it's a major negative.

Love the Transocean...the dial, the lugs style, the bracelet.
Hate the sizing. Wish it was 40 or max 42mm

The one reason I wrote it off was the bezel. Ceramic is cool when it's an insert. But when the entire bezel is ceramic, it looks bad. It just looks like a mismatched part.
