seiko watch identification

I am looking for a way to identify my Seiko watch.


On the back of the watch it reads,

SEIKO
water resistant [AD]
Tungsten Carbide
st. steel back
9521-5290 [R1]
Korea SV
780974

I believe the watch was made in the 90's. I also believe it was made in Korea. It is in near perfect condition.

Could you please identify the model of the seiko watch for me. Also can you give me a general price value of the watch? Does it have gold on it or is it just metal?

Also does anybody know how to adjust the clasp of this watch?

I can help with a couple of things. The numbers on the back of the case, 9521-5290, represent the movement 9521, and the case reference 5290. Beyond that, there is not likely to be any other model name. To adjust the size of the bracelet, you need to open the bail on the clasp part in your first picture. This is done by inserting a small screw driver into the slot in the right side of the clasp and flipping up the metal portion on the right in that shot. You can then slide that part of the clasp along the bracelet. When you get it where you want in, fold the metal flap back down and press it closed.

Possibly a Seiko frm the 'Dolce' line which were high end quartz dress watches. If memory serves, it runs an 8N41 quartz. Going by the serial number, i'm thinking it's an August 1997 product. HTH
