    Shipping advice from Philippines/Hong Kong

I did a search, but didn’t see anything. I am looking at a diver from Loy’s in the Philippines and talking with Jake Bourdeau about one from him. Any advice on shipping from the Philippines or Hong Kong? How does the process work? Thanks for the help.

I've ordered multiple watches from HK, including from Jake, and they all have shipped EMS without issue. Once in the states, it transfers to the USPS for delivery. You can request (and pay) for express service (3-5 days) or stick with standard (6-10+). BTW, Jake is awesome to deal with so don't hesitate to work with him! Good luck!

Thanks Horoticus. I have been emailing Jake and he is really fast on getting back to me about questions. Thanks again.

He'll probably use our local post (Loy) as it's the cheapest way to send packages abroad.

Via EMS, you'll get it around 3-4days to HK and it's trackable.. To some countries that is. Regular mail, 1-2 weeks? There'll be a tracking number but not trackable at any website. Tracking number maybe used if package is taking too long and can be used as reference at recipient's postal office ;)

I haven't heard any problems with shipping from ether one. But I tell you what I want to see besides pics of the watches when they come in but also pics of the Shelby I've gathered you apparently have from your Avatar pic.

I've ordered from both Hong Kong and the Philippines to the UK without any problems. Shipping from the Philippines took about a week and from Hong Kong an incredible 3 days.

One bad thing about shipping an item coming from the Philippines is that EMS tracking does not work at all. PhilPost gives terrible service. I sent 2 watches to a fellow member to the States and it gave me the shivers when I learned that it cannot be tracked. So, after a couple of weeks, I emailed him and I was happy and relieved that he got it. To be honest, at this day and age I am at a loss why PhilPost cannot get their act straight. But then again, I live here in the Philippines and why I am still wondering why some government services are inefficient? Silly me.

If you ship via EMS to the States, it'll be trackable via USPS ;)

Regular mail.. Booo! But so far all my packages around the world have safely arrived :)

We use UPS/DHL/EMS as express carriers to the States. Most of the parcels arrived just 2-3days after dispatch (except stuck in customs, touch wood). Regular Registered Airmail is also good, for your reference, our last 500 regular parcels to US arrived safe and sound luckily. Enjoy.
