Does anyone else have the issue of the dive extention chewing into their wrist with the SKA371? Does this indicate that I have the strap set wrong, or is it a design flaw?
Other than this I love the watch. It's a beast.

I've had this bracelet for more than a year and have never had any comfort issues. Im wearing it now it feels good. I'd be nterested to hear from others with the BFK/Spork bracelet.
It's the best bracelet on a Seiko that I've seen to date. Extremely comfortable, well-balanced, and it suits the watch very well aesthetically.
You could always get a clasp with no extension from Will Jean and swap them out. He even has some with the SEIKO stamped on so it would look identical.
If you mean the hinge of dive extension, it's a design flaw in my opinion. There are several people who complained about this.
Here is my thread: Monster / Sumo / SBCM023 clasp question
Had the bracelet on my SKA371 and now my SRP043 Spork. No problems on my 7 1/4 wrist.

Had my SKA371 for a couple of months, no problem very comfortable.
I have a Spork with the same bracelet and had the same issue with the extension digging onto my wrist. I ordered a 20mm clasp from Yobokies without the extension. Completely fixed the problem.
I don't know if it's a design flaw as I have a half dozen seiko bracelets with this design and haven't noted any discomfort on any of them (...but if it's an issue for a number a folks, maybe so).
I wonder if this issue has anything to do with how tight or loose people where there bracelet or the position of the extension piece when on the wrist. I wear my bracelet tight enough so it the watch head doesn't flip flop all over the place, yet loose enough that I can squeeze my index finger between my wrist and the bracelet. When on my wrist, the extension is on the underside of my wrist (though barely). Curious how this bracelet sits for folks experiencing discomfort.
So to be clear: the bracelet on my BFK is not the same one as on my Monster. Two different designs. The dive extension on my Monster has never caused any discomfort. On the BFK, the dive extension hinge is digging into the wrist on the side where the wrist bone is most prominent. I wear it tight enough that I am only able to get my index finger in there.
The BFK extension actually lays on top of the other links when not deployed, which seems like a bizarre design. I guess I need to swap out the whole clasp section. Very disappointed.
Most likely with a wide enough wrist, it would lay more in the middle of the wrist and not be felt as much or not at all. Mine is 6.75" so it could be a reason I am getting mauled by this thing.
