    Watch for flight attendant?

My sister is finishing flight attendant school and has a birthday coinciding with her graduation. She is already quite a traveler and I thought I'd commemorate this occasion for her with a watch. She has embraced the trend lately of larger sized ladies watches and would even wear a men's watch if it weren't too masculine.

I was thinking one of citizen's world time models but didn't know if seiko made anything appropriate as well. I've had very good luck with a variety of reference numbers from both brands for myself and my wife but haven't shopped for anything beyond liking the way it looked.

Having said all of that are there any solar powered, water resistant, world time references you all would suggest for a young (30yo) up and coming career woman working for an airline?

    Thanks for any suggestions!

An Astron seems out (size) despite the fact it's a great watch for a traveller. Maybe a kinetic with a 24 hour function? I find them great to travel with because a quick adjustment and the watch shows current time, but you can keep the 24 hour hand pointed to 'home' time. Possibly a Pipin, they're smaller than most similarly capable watches, and come in some great colors. Only issue is you're giving a used watch........

I just might finally break down and get one of these yellow variants (Pro Trek PRW3000-9B) for my own self before they get scarce and even more expensive.

I recommend the Seiko Astron, if your budget extends that far. They're beautiful, quality built time piece that wears small, and I reckon would be equally good on anyones wrist.

    FYI

Personally, I think the Astrons, though they are outstanding watches, are all huge. But I guess on a woman it won't matter if she likes it.

Something small, not too shiny, and preferably capable of following more than one timezone. A Baby G-shock with a world timer function might be nice

    Watch for flight attendant?

The Astron is fantastic. But I'm 6'4" and it wore large on me! I sold it for that reason. But keep the suggestions coming. I'm always looking for the next good watch to gift or keep.

For this purchase budget is probably sub $500.

    Thanks again.

Currently I'm looking at all the different G-Shock versions. I would think something like that would suit her well. I've seen versions with world time and various flight gadgets. Some are large size and you can get them in lady like colors too. And they check what you are looking for in terms of being solar powered and water resistant. Something like that could work for a flight attendant where you don't want to be overly concerned if you bang your watch or where you might be on your world travels.

Edit - I'm finding this post very helpful so far:

Give the world timer/GMT a miss as she'll probably be too busy zooming all over the globe at bizarre times to set it. Just buy her a nice looking 3 hand Eco-Drive.
