    Re: Watchadoo strap WARNING!!

Seems like a fluke to me. I bought a Watchadoo and it arrived two weeks later with no hassle or fuss.

(It took two weeks since they are in Australia and I am in the States.)

    That's absolutely correct!

I wasn't aware of the 45 day limit on eBay at the time and I was also working away from home and so was unaware that it hadn't arrived until it was too late...

I think that the people at watchadoo knew that I didn't have a case and refused a refund and eventually just ignored my emails. This is completely unacceptable in my opinion.

Another happy customer here. Standard delivery within Australia was very prompt. Bought and received within two days.

Also the strap is excellent quality and a great price.

    Ok people...

Since there seems to be some misunderstanding of the intended purpose of this thread I'll try to make it clear.

I never intended to imply that if you order from watchadoo that you will definitely be ripped off as I was. A company on eBay just could not operate like that. I'd say that the majority of their customers are indeed happy.

What I am saying is that I was definitely ripped off by them. I payed for an item that I didn't get. I asked for a refund, which I didn't get and eventually they just ignored my emails. That is a fact. I have absolutely no reason to make this up and I could prove these events with the emails in my eBay and paypal accounts if I needed to.

As this happened to me, it could happen to anybody else also. If these people can get away with your money and just ignore you, then they will.
I just wanted to warn you all of these events to try to stop it from happening to anybody else. That's all.

I don't mean to sound rude or offensive but if anybody wants to post about their positive experience with them then please start your own thread and do so in there. That is not the intended purpose of this one.
Besides, for all I know it could be employees / friends of the people at watchadoo posting positive comments to cover themselves.

    Thanks.

But you're painting them guilty with a broad brush stroke - which is not fair, considering the quantity of satisfied customers here. And I find it extremely unlikely that a company with such a track record would just start ripping people off or single you out.

With that said and the defensive and condemning tone of your posts, I am starting to get the feeling that you are not telling the whole story.

    ...

And I can assure you that I am NOT affiliated with the company in any way, shape or form. I am simply a satisfied customer and stated so in a DISCUSSION forum. That is what we do here: DISCUSS topics - good or bad, positive or negative.

Well just as I thought... The simple-minded amongst us has taken personal offence to a message that wasn't aimed at any one person in particular. This board / thread wasn't placed here for the sole benefit of yourself.

I took time out of my life to try to give help and advice to people who share my interests... Only to be accused of lying. For what damn purpose?

For the life of me I can't think why I bothered to try to help others now.

I won't be monitoring or posting in this thread any longer. Maybe you can fill it up with conspiracy theories as to why I took the time to make this all up...

Why would you attack the OP and accuse him of lying when the OP has absolutely no reason to, nor has he stated anything that wasn't completely true according to his experience? It's fine if your experience is different, but that in no way invalidates the original post. And quite simply, this attitude shouldn't belong in this forum.
