What do you really crave to buy in 2010?

Not sure if anyone has posted this question yet - sorry if so. Just to get the ball rolling I'd like to buy the green-faced Hi-Beat Grand Seiko this year.

I can't resist adding I'd also like an Orient OS300, a Citizen Chronomaster, and a vintage GS or KS - accuracy and shininess permitting.

My most likely purchase in 2010? A pre-loved black face Sumo...

As of now, just a 007. Still working within a budget.

Hey John, it's been a while mate & good to see you!...I almost bought a Breitling

super ocean in Orange from 2006 in mint condition, a beauty for sure but the size is similar to the slim taper cased SKX or 7002 series divers.

Needless to say I didnt go for it at a good deal price of about $1000.00, but will more than likely kick myself for not getting her as she will no doubt become a collectible in short order.

To keep with my main WISdom, my next Seiko purchase will be either a 1000m Darth Auto King Tuna, or the lovely SBDX001 MM 300m dive watch.

    Cheers & good thread,

This year is going to be a tight one for me, so watch purchases will be minimal to non-existent.

However, I might cave and get a Promaster SST (the Aussie version, with sapphire). If one purchase just isn't enough, I could probably stretch to a S/S ZILLA on a bracelet.

Finally, if I have any spare $$$ on my honeymoon and I find something desirable and good value in Hong Kong, maybe I could get something.

Here's a Photo of the Breitling I almost bought, my bid would have won the watch but I didnt pull the trigger on this victum, my spotter didnt have good range & wind speed calculations, so I passed.
If & when I see another, I will grab her just for the added investment qualities this has and will have in the future.

More than likely, I'll be going with a MM prospex purchase of diver in the 8L35 range.

    Cheers mates,
    Jimmy

In the short time I've been getting into watches (two weeks now) I've acquired a serious obsession with the Sumo. Every time I sit down at a computer I am looking at pictures of Sumos. I can't decide if I like the blue or black better. Everyone says they don't like the font on the bezel, but I think that's the best part! Is just so bold and clean. But then I've been looking at the Samurai the past couple of days thinking that it's almost as nice looking as the sumo, more crisp with the sharp lines. Buuuuut I don't feel like spending $500 on a watch right now, so I'll probably settle for a 007.

Currently, only two things.. A good-looking Eco-Drive black technical, and a dressy Seiko Kinetic/Automatic/Citizen Eco-Drive. Currently thinking that the first could be the PVD Nighthawk, but.. we'll see - My opinions tend to change on the whim, alas.

I'd like to get an Orient Black Mako to go along with the blue one I got for Christmas. But, like a few others here I'm working on a tight budget. I also have a couple of watches going in for service, so it may be a while before I see another Mako in my watch box.

Right now, the only watch I really "crave" is a Doxa Sub 1000T or 1200T Professional. That's about it!
