The AirNautic Meteor - CAD Drawings (modem burner)!

Here are the final drawings, after another two months of revisions. I think this will be a big hit for AirNautic. Features include:

    titanium, 44mm
    2893-2
    sapphire display back
    bracelet or strap
    Chronometer version (extra cost)
four versions including pvd, orange lume, and Shadow
    price to be determined

Production is in progress, with deliveries expected in about two months.

Notice the small 'tail' on the 24 hour hand. That was done by another company back in the 60's. It's there to indicate 12 hour time on the 24 hour scale.

    Feel free to discuss.

    Mitch

    I think it looks great!

but.... i'm not sure how to tell the time. I'm confused about the hour/ minute hand.
the 24 hour hand is the only hour hand? and the minute and second hand are both the short ones in the middle?
    Take care,
    Seth

Wow...very interesting. Of the four I like the PVD with orange markers the best. And, maybe the shadow second.

A question about the shadow version. Will the lume on the dial and hands be the same colour? Or, will the hands be a lighter shade like the LM-4S?

I'm assuming 24 mm lugs? What type of strap will you offer?

At first, I was a bit confused by the short minute and long hour hands but, I guess that I can get used to it over time.

The "tail" on the hour hand is a clever feature. I have to say I've never seen it before. Which company did this is the past? Curious.

Yep. Got me at first as well. And, since it's AirNautic it's a 24 hour dial only.

Many watch companies have experimented with different hand configurations lately, particularly using other than long minute and second, short hour hand designs. Check Jaquet Droz for example, except that you can probably buy 20 of our watches for one of theirs!

I think it's easy to get used to different hand configurations, in fact, it's fun. I'm very comfortable with the AN-24, it only took a few days.

I'm not sure what leather strap we will offer with this, probably black with black stitching. The bracelet will be the same as the one available with the LM-2.

Glycine used the tail on the 24 hour hand many years ago. I'm not sure if anyone else has done it since then. If you search, you will find a picture of their older 24 hour watches that have this feature. We purposely made it small so it's unobtrusive but there when you want it.

Thanks for the "tail" trivia; It's obvious to me now.

    Mitch,

What shape will the front crystal be? Flat? Domed? Double domed? Flat domed?

Wow this looks great! I like that the use of this case design instead of the ones used for the earlier versions.
Not to sure I like the middle circle but it depends on how it will be executed in the end. Is it meant to be some kind of carbon-design?
