Re: Ballistic Nylon/Kevlar/Nomex Strap Discussion Poll

Square keeper does look ugly to me.

I don't disagree about it being tried and true, most army stuff is i know, but in my experience in the infantry all the army provides is not generally good quality or expensive.

I suspect they went with the material keeper for cost and function, no shine and no clanging of metal keepers.

I quite like the idea of this one, though in a single piece design. The one you show really is too utilitarian for my taste.

Re: Ballistic Nylon/Kevlar/Nomex Strap Discussion Poll

I am a bracelet fiend and I HATE straps.

Last month I bought the BR02, and fell IN LOVE with this strap!!

It is the same strap BIGINBOCA used to customize his O7, just 26mm. I think all of us in the dive forum LOVED his modified set-up.

    My homemade BR02 "Hommage"...

My wrist is TINY, So I just loop it in the far gap

best strap I have ever experienced.

I would LOVE to have this option on all my 07's, and am in the process of doing it on my new orange LM6 PVD as we speak.

The NATO/G10/Rhino/Zulu has been done to death. They are available with two rings, four rings, brushed, polished, low light, one piece, two piece and a wide variety of colours.

I'd suggest a heavy duty nylon/velcro fastener strap as with the IWC Ocean Bund and akin to the B&R Hydromax. It would be nice to have a choice between one and two-piece. They are comfortable straps, very easy to adjust for different-sized wrists (or to go over a wetsuit) and much less common.

I would love to see something like what Colin describes.

The Strap shown by Nalu is very nice, B&R type, 2 piece.
The only issue I have with this style is the Nylon cut edges, just back from the lug attachments, are often rough and IMHO uncomfortable when worn against the skin, see Nalu image below.

Some of these have a thin nylon piece that extends over the back of the watch, that needs to the correct length.
Panatime is selling a 24mm strap similar to this but one piece

I've had this problem with 2 piece Zulus. Using the metal nail file on a set of fingernail clippers to lightly smooth off the rough edges has worked great for me.

When I first got the BR02 it did that--- and I figured I'd have to do some kind of a work-around. But in 2-3 days, it totally went away. dont notice it in the slightest anymore.
