The "Officially Certified Chronometer" designation balances the dial quite nicely. Dropping "Chronometer" directly under the Ocean7 logo gets too cramped for my taste and the image you included kinda makes my point for me! The way the word "Chronometer" gets hidden behind the hands just looks wrong......
From a potential LM-2 buyer: I couldn't agree with Brad Trent more. The original drawing simply works. The second drawing is too cramped.

Also, I think a significant number of buyers today opt for chronometer versions for the cachet more than the actual accuracy. Why spend extra if you earn nothing in visual cachet while wearing the watch?

I think that's a wrap. We'll leave it as is, and at this point we consider the design phase to be finished.

At some point soon we will get back to the LM-5, and that will give us three models, for now.

Thanks for the comments and advice.

Is that what you thought I meant?

I don't know what you meant and my statement wasn't directed towards you.

FWIW, minute markers aren't just to set the bezel. You need them to accurately set the time of day and to precisely know the time. Without them, it's a real pain to have to wait till the quarter hour to set your watch. I don't think it wise to give up the precision gained with minute markers simply for "looks."

My Glycine Lagunare Certified Chronometer had no minute markers and I found their absence most annoying.

    To the first, roger that.

I understand the push back that some would have towards not having minute markers. I'm just not that precise I suppose.

"Time on target, plus or minus one minute" works for me.

Time really isn't that critical to me anymore either, but if I'm going to bother to "hack" the second hand, it seems kind of dumb not to know precisely where the minute hand is.

Time shouldn't be important to me anymore, but it is. I think the minute markers are critical

Kinda like a bezel on a diving watch perhaps?

I like the look better without the minute markers, but I think we need to keep them.

Thanks Mitch. I knew when I made the comment that it was a minority report, since it is a deviation from the norm and as such it would offend some folks' sensibilities. Nevertheless, I assumed you wanted input. Thus I gave it.

I respect and support your decision.
