    Re: LM-2 drawing is here!

Yes like the LE I am definetly on that wagon.
See and now I am up for either ploprof or a type like UTS, or ladder hands,
and I am definitely up for Titanium or blasted SS.
Way to go Mitch and Lahugh.
I dont know much about the new movt, but if I had a vote it is the wait and the ETA 2824 only because they are so easy to fix anywhere and jeweler.
    Regards
    Robert

The Lagunare is 46mm diameter, 2mm larger than the LM-2.

    Re: LM-2 Discussion

At this point we have heard only positive things about the SW 200. It is even available with a chronometer certificate. We have already reserved 150 movements out of a very large order placed by the manufacturer, but we can change to the 2824 at any time. The movements are physically interchangeable.

As we discussed, at this time we will stay with the PloProf hands. There are lots of possibilities for using them in future models and variations, for example, black with orange lume, gold skeleton, etc.

We have answered many emails and private messages regarding the pre-order list. This is something we will do, but until we deliver the LM-1 and prove the quality of our product and our committment to the business, we will not take orders on new models.

    Re: LM-2 Discussion

The final case drawing is on the Plans and Pictures thread. The watches will be ordered this week. We will have a sample in eight weeks, and full production in ten weeks (at least that's the plan).

We hope you like this design. As soon as we saw the hollow triangle on the bezel and the smaller orange markers, we knew it was just right.

Hey Mitch...do you have a final side-by-side of the two models? That would be groovy to see!

    Re: LM-2 Discussion

Hi Brad. We don't right now. We will have to do it ourselves if we want a side by side because they are made by different Swiss manufacturers. Also, we don't have an updated drawing on the LM-1, showing the correct bezel. Both are 44mm, and the LM-2 is available as a Chronometer.

I think the LM-2 is very similar to this new Glycine (or vice versa)......what do you guys think?

    Re: LM-2 Discussion

I do see the similarity, but I think the LM-2 addresses some issues the way we felt they should be handled. Of course you can make arguments either way. It just comes down to what you like.

This is just my opinion, of course, but here they are:

The second and minute hands extend beyond the luminous markers. This is a major design faux paux. Try to find another watch set up this way. They may exist, but won't be easy to find. In general, the second hand goes to the end of the minute markers, the minute hand is slightly shorter, on a big watch maybe around 1mm shorter, and the hour hand is much shorter, basically whatever works.

Two different crown styles don't go well with each other. Crown positions - matter of opinion, but I think the LM-2 setup works better.

Luminous markers on the dial and those on the bezel seem disconnected because they are styled differently.

Nowhere on the dial to precisely line up the bezel triangle, since the 5 minute markers are very wide, and there are no minute markers.

This isn't a design deficiency, but wait until you see the difference in price, with and without chronometer certification.

    Mitch,

You got it just right and I think the hollow triangle is a huge improvement. Bravo!

FWIW, I purchased new an orange dial Glycine Lagunare Chronometer and loved the watch, but it was a royal PITA to set if it was more than quarter past the hour.

Thanks! The triangle idea is from the PloProf.
