Will the marker indices be applied?

No, they will use the heaviest possible coating of luminous material. It is very expensive to use real, chrome plated metal inlays. Plastic chrome inlays are much cheaper, but I don't think inlays give us the look that we want.Originally Posted by LW McVay

By next week we have to decide how many chronometers we will order out of the 150 production run. We have not set a price yet, but the difference will be around $200, maybe a little more.
Also, should the wording remain as it is, should the font size be reduced, and should we just print, "Chronometer", on the dial?

I was wondering if you were doing a limited run of Chronometer-certified models or if all of them were gonna get the treatment!Originally Posted by MitchSF

As for your question, I kinda like the way it is in the final drawing...there's something very "regal" about "Officially Certified Chronometer"...and besides, it fits on the dial design very well!

the final design drawing looks nice. glad the triange isback, i never liked the 0-mark indicator on drawings #2 & 3.
i think just chronometer is fine...maybe spell it chronometre to give it a touch of panache? the less wording on the dial the better. one of the failings of the seiko marine master (a nice diver!) is too much wording!Originally Posted by MitchSF

Nice watch! I'm looking for examples of dials that just say, "Chronometer" or "Chronometre", but I have not found any yet.Originally Posted by Denizen

take a look at the breitlings...
ps. the marine master is a stock photo (not mine's).besides the wordy dial, i also dislike the fact that it doesn't have a sapphire crystal, unsigned crown, etc... a bit of a turnoff for a watch at that price point (when new). i would consider a pre-owned piece if the price was right.

I prefer the way you have it posted in the Plans and Design thread...more official. More "regal" if you will.
If you want clean, go with the Glycine look and get rid of the busy minute markers. Thats clean.
