    LM-2 Discussion

    Hi,
Will there be a pre-order option for the LM2? Will there be any pre-requisites, or will it just be first-come first-served once the announcement is made? Anyway to get on a mailing list for the announcement?
    Thanks very much,
    David

    David,
There will almost certainly be a preorder list, and it will be announced here first. We will use the LM-1 experience to make it easier, this time around. No information is available yet.

    Mitch, Hi.
I assume you are back from your trip. Hope all went well, will you post some pictures for us?
How are we coming on the O7, any news??
By the way the 1st rubber strap, any chance you can give me any info on where to purchase or is that a wholesale for dealers? I am looking for my UTS 1000 something thick.
    thanks
    Robert

    Re: LM2 ordering

    Hi Robert,
It was a great trip. Thanks for asking. I did post a picture of the PloProf next to the Alaska pipeline, on the dive watch forum.

Updates are posted here. No news yet. The factory just returned from summer vacation, so we should have some news within the next few days.

The straps will be purchased through the manufacturer. I don't know where they get them.

I missed the discussion regarding the LM2. Can someone point to to any information? How does it differ from the first O7 watch?

You didn't miss anything. When we get the first CAD drawings, we'll post them to the forum. No information is available now.

    Re: LM2 questions

    Mitch,

I just found out about Ocean7. I missed the discussion on the look of Ocean7, in which I would have said "move the crown to the 3 o'clock marker position". It's too late for LM1. But in your future offerings, please make a model with a normal crown position. I know it's a personal preference. I hate watches with crowns at a non-3 (or 9) position. It's not balanced, period. Don't try to be different for the sake of being different. Asthetically, it doesn't work. It also gives a less than masculine feel. That's my sincere opinion.

    Re: LM2 questions

The crown is at 4:00 not only for asthetics (which is a matter of opinion, of course), but also because there is no crown guard, and it's more protected at that position. We don't plan on moving it on future models, but we do appreciate your comments.

    Re: LM2 questions

The LM-2 will be a 2 crown design with an inner, rotating bezel. Plans will be posted shortly.

    LM-2 Discussion

Since we keep delaying the CAD drawing, we decided to post preliminary specifications:

    Internal rotating bezel!
44mm 316L stainless or possibly titanium, lugs similar to LM-1
    24mm lug spacing
Crown at 4:00, bezel crown at 2:00
    20atm (maybe more, we'll see)
Dial and hands similar to LM-1 - possible use of H3!
2824-2 or SW 200 (basically the same thing)
    Sapphire with AR inside
    Silicone strap similar to "PloProf"
    Swiss Made

    Pricing in the LM-1 ballpark
    Delivery in the late Winter

Of course, the specs are subject to change. The LM-1 was a learning experience, so we'll be much better at this now. The design process will go much faster.
