Looking good, would definitely like to see an even darker blue on the dial, really like the contrast of the near black blue with the minute hand and the markings.

WOW! Looks as if you're heading down the home stretch with that drawing, Mitch. At least by my preferences. Just waiting on the revised angles on the right side. For now I think I'm going to copy that drawing, reduce it, print it and cut it out to put on my wrist today!

No, I don't think we will expand the size of the line around the date window.

There should be lots of silicone strap pictures around here. If they have a picture I'll ask them to show the case on it. If not, we won't do it.

I will definitely check out mesh bracelets. As I mentioned, I think, the sample I have is similar to the Staib bracelet, but the quality is not as good, certainly not good enough for us.

The dial is now Pantone 282. We'll see what 292 looks like on the next drawing.

Looking real good. I agree with Mitch on the right side not to be curved.

I might be the minority here, not a big fan of the 5 minute markers. I can live with it though. The pros outweigh the cons to a great extend here.

One more thing - we are looking into the possiblilty of making the button a bezel release button, rather than an HEV. So far we have found no patents on this design, in fact, it looks like Omega may have used a design from another watch, that was not patented. In any case, the two other PloProf patents for the case and crown were filed around 1968 and it does not look like they were renewed. Patents are not the issue even for the case or crown but that doesn't matter because we are not doing anything even close.

The questions are at this point, do we want to do this, is it feasable, and what will it cost? I'll have answers on the last two, when I return.

Mitch, you mean 296 for the dial.

I really think that will be the winner. Hints of blue but almost black.

Here is 282 296 and black, now remember it will look different for everybody, if you want to see the true colors you need to look in a Pantone swatch book.

FOr me a bezel lock button would be cool, I will never use a HEV. I mean what depth do you need to dive at for the HEV to be used?

That would be fabulous!! You have my vote for that. Anything you do which would replicate the original PloProf will get my vote.

    Thanks for bringing it up.

    Mitch

I notice the ribbing/grooving on the crown/HEV has changed. My personal preference is for the more modern and probably more durable design from the previous CADs.
