Danny, we really appreciate the effort, but that's not in line with our minimalist approach! Also, we want to stay with white.Originally Posted by Danny S

Howdy Pardners,
Here's my entry into the logo contest. Obviously, I am no artist. The idea was simple block letters for the word "Ocean" and a simple, but decorative, "7" with a subtle wave motiff.

this is the template i had in mind with a few changes or options with colors and outlining...don't have photoshop to do it right but here's the idea:
i was thinking you do a combination of colors on the font. have the whole thing entirely written in white, or have "ocean" or "seven" outlined with white but black print and the other word in white. well, crappy job but i guess you get the picture.
The minimalist O-ringed number/letter does look nice but in my opinion really has been done to death on all sorts of military-inspired watches to the extent that it's rather a generic look nowadays.
If not adverse to 'o7' then how about a simple graphical representation of a diver's mask with snorkle which kinda form the 'o' and '7' shapes, especially if using an old school type mask?
(Won't shame myself by attempting to illustrate this via graphic design).

Wow!
What a great thread this has become!! A lot of great ideas! I'd buy any watch that had input from this forum......
Put me on that list!
