    OCEAN7 History 2 * LOCKED *

Again, thanks to everyone who preordered a watch. We'd like to make a few things clear so there are no disappointmemts or misunderstandings - first, there is no wait list. Any watches not claimed by someone on the preorder list, will be sold at retail. The retail price has not been established yet, but it will be much higher than the preorder price. Sorry, but we made this clear at the beginning.

Please do not post any private messages about the preorder list, to this thread.

In about one month we will have a web site running, and we will sponsor this forum first, then one other. Announcements will always be made here, first. Between the time that the design is finalized and we receive samples, we won't have much to say, and we won't be posting messages, just for the sake of posting. We will answer questions, and we will notify you as we receive updates.

Attached are the latest CAD drawings. There are several mistakes on them - The bezel grooves were enlarged, and we prefer them the way they were before. We really like the crown, and this is the way it will be. The lugs show screw pins, but will be changed to spring bars. I think the CAD designer likes screw pins and tubes better.

The factory can make a dial with green luminous material surrounded by white luminous material. I've never seen this on a watch before, but it will allow us to use more material. I think we'll go back to chrome inlays, though, because we don't want to be the first to do this. The coating won't be as thick, but it will still be sufficient.

The case is actually much taller than it shows in the side view. The height will be around 16mm. Obviously, the 300m/600ft markings are incorrect, unless either the metric or English units of measure have changed within the past few days!

    Serfino,

Thank you for your continued support. ETA is between 90-120 days.

    Regards,

    Looks great!

I must say, first thing I did was scroll down and look at the picture, and I was THRILLED with the look of the new grooves on the bezel. They look amazing with the non-guarded crown, and really complete the authoritative and minimalist design of the watch. So if I can put in a vote for keeping the bezel edge design above, I by all means do.

The watch is shaping up beautifully, and I thank my stars I got on the list. Can't state enough that I think that new bezel edge design is an "A-plus". The silhouette of the watch looks striking with it.

Interesting - maybe we should keep it. I'll ask the CAD guy to wait a few days while we make a final decision. Do others feel this way?

    Thanks for the input.

    It looks great, gentlemen. :gold

I'm very glad to hear that you've made the decision to come on board as a sponsor. I believe the membership here has proven that we support good ideas when we see them. Your approach in coming to us for ideas and suggestions is a refreshing one and I must say that it was my great pleasure to be a part of it.

Continued success to you in this venture!

Thanks, Steve. No question the watch will be better due to the input we received here (orange tip!), and we hope that the sponsorship will benefit everyone.

    Hey Mitch,

Just curious if you know how thick the crystal will be at this point?

Also can't wait to see the finished logo on this baby.

    Hi Reactionary,

Not sure yet, but it will be sufficiently thick so that it will meet the 30atm spec. We'll have the logo on Wednesday, so they say.

    Thanks,
    Mitch

    Re: Ocean7 Announcements

As per Ocean7's request, please restrict personal communications regarding your order status to e-mails and/or Private Messages. Do not post such inquires in this thread. We'd all like to keep this thread manageable in length. Thanks! B-)

Pre-orders were filled by the morning of Saturday, April 1st. If your request came in after that point, it was too late.
