I'll speak with the engineer about the HEV crown. The quotation was based on using an anodized aluminum crown, but that was not a very popular solution, especially for those who dive. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have a price on the mold to make a red plastic or nylon capped stainless crown.

I like the 5 minute marks because of the link to the PloProf, but they do make the dial busier.

While red plastic metal over SS is a viable solution for a push button, I think it's an extraordinarily bad idea for a crown (i.e. something that turns). I fail to see what the problem with an anodised crown is. I've used anodised parts on MTBs for years and never had a problem. They are used in car engines, dive equipment, jet engines, spacecraft, and other high-stress environments (including inside the human body).

I will ante up the $250 when MitchSF tells me to send it in. Way cool and blue dial looks good, lume bezel is great, the brighter the better. I would love number 51 if possible to choose numbers.
