What does the series letters mean? For example, 16610 series Z.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I am totally confused with the letters at the end of the Reference numbers.

I understand the Reference number concept, but I don't understand the series letter.

I have been looking at 16610 Submariners and notice a lot of Z, M and other letters that are called series.

What is are the differences of these "series" and what do they mean?

The letter is associated with the year of production. You can google the complete list.

V-2009
M-2008
M and Z-2007
D and Z-2006
