    Aquis Date ceramic bezel question

Hello, Just got a 43mm Aquis Date with black dial.

I know that Aquis date has ceramic bezel, but I did notice that there's a difference between the Blue and Black type. THe blue bezel is not brushed and the numbers and markers are uniform with the blue bezel. But the black bezel has different numbers and markers. I am wondering that if the numbers and markers on the black bezel are also made of ceramic or painted into white? Because the blue one definitely looks like they were ceramic

I have the Aquis in blue (green/gray) and I like it a lot. The numbers are not uniform on the bezel, they look stamped and painted white, really very neat.
Before buying it, I was considering a blue Oris Diver, but when I compared both at the AD I liked the Aquis tone much more, and it feels heavier, with a better bracelet and finish than the other model. The dial is cleaner and looks better too... I guess you are as happy with your new watch as I am with mine!

Yes, I love my Aquis date in black.
I actually went to a watch shop to try out the Oris Diver date, I really love the wave in the dial. However that watch is too thick for my small wrist, and I've learned that it used a old ORIS 733 caliber which is SW200. but Aquis used a SW200-1 which is a improvement. However the watch shop don't have Aquis Date in stock yet. Therefore I bought the Aquis without actually try them out.

Glad to know that for the blue tone the numbers and marks are also stamped in and painted in white. My major concern is the paint would be worn out someday, because I had a $200 Seiko 5 which lost all the paint in 7 years. but I guess I have to trust ORIS on this, after all it's a $1000+ watch, I expect a better quality.

The reason I chose Aquis is mainly for its Ceramic bezel, and a thinner case. The case still have a unique look that can be identified as an ORIS dive watch easily. I love the crown guard which doesn't occur in Diver Date. I also love the SS bracelet, which is wide, thick, heavy and tough looking. I also like the new Blue Superluminova very much. If only Aquis could have a wave dial then it would be perfect. But I still love it, the clean dial gives a different tone. I had suspect about the domed sapphire because I prefer the flat one, but when I got it I think it looks better than a flat sapphire.

Anyway, Aquis date indeed is a very good watch.
