Oris Carlos Coste Limited syncs out of time?

I finally got my Oris Carlos Coste Limited.. Number 0524/2000 =).. but i have a question regarding setting the time.. The seconds seems to run a bit fast?!? - i am a bit in doubt if the seconds are correct set to 60 when the little orange arrow is below or above? hope it makes sense..

It worries me a bit that it seems to run quicker than the time acutally is, so maybe i am setting it incorrectly?

First off, Congrats on your CC and Welcome to WUS. As far as the accuracy of your watch, you have to give it around 90 days give or take to settle down or as some call it the “break-in period”.

Almost forgot, you set the painted second pointer to the top marker (12 o'clock), if that makes sense....

Now show us some pictures of that Oris.....

Cheers for the quick reply.. I was starting to get a bit nervous.. I mean i've never owned a watch with that kind of thing, but then again I've never owned a watch in that price category as well.. I just set the time and yeah the seconds are definitly running faster than they should, so in the end +5 seconds will become hours ..

    Hi,

What do you consider as fast? Although annoying I understand that 10-15 secs fast is ok. In fact according to my point of view there are no precise automatic watches. I owe a couple of those including an Oris Chronograph special edition Williams F1 and friends of mine have real collections and we all observe those kind of variances.

    Have fun with your watch.

Cheers .. I reckon it is around 5-7secs fast.. but in the end if it is 5sec fast on each turn the clock will eventually be running faster than time it self =) but as I can read i will just have to be patient about it =) ..

Is it gaining a few seconds a day, or a few seconds every minute? If it's +5 every minute, then that's a problem!

Exactly it is gaining each "round" it takes from getting from 12 to 12.. so it is every minute..

    So following this example:

I sync the time to 09:17:00 am which is the localtime.. The local Time is now 09:27:00am but according to my watch it is 09:27:40 .. so each time it increases i reckon..

i think your watch is moving rather faster than usual.... just give it a few more weeks to make the gears fully lubricated...
